Marlena Crystal

Born in North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany, Marlena Crystal soon developed a big love for the 80s and, at the age of 14, began to write and produce music herself. With her interest in how the sounds she loves were created, she started to build up her own homestudio. Marlena found herself in a wild mix of AOR (adult-oriented rock), Hi-NRG and New German Wave. For that, she does not only rely on digital means, but also uses original analogue equipment, which is crucial to her authentic vintage sound.

For the label Last Forever Music and the music publisher Nightline Publishing, Marlena works under the name of her own edition called Crystal Line Music. Besides ghostwriting songs for other musicians, she also released her German debut single "Das Schwarz in meinem Licht" in 2021, followed by "Heut bin ich so stark". In 2022 she released the Hi-NRG hit "Closer to Your Heart", which became the start of her international success.

Her style was heavily influenced by artists such as Stevie Nicks, Pat Benatar and the German Pop duo Cora. Bobby Orlando also counts to her favourite music producers and inspirations.
